I am a graduate student at the Department of Cognitive Science at Carleton University. I am also affiliated with the Mind, Brain, and Neuroethics Research Unit located at The Royal Mental Health Research Cenre. More precisely, I work under the supervision of Dr. Georg Northoff.
I completed my Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Toronto. Currently, I am investigating the temporal structure of mind wandering and mental time travel using two models: the temporo-spatial structure of the mind and the constructive hypothesis of episodic memory. You can learn more about my work in the projects section.
I have a very keen interest in statistical machine learning and computational neuroscience. Additionally, I am very interested in analysis of big data, and data reproducibility in science. Therefore, I co-founded the Open Cog Sci Academic Society to further my interests through peer-to-peer learning.
Finally, I am heavily invested in community initiatives. As a certified Carpentries instructor, I teach foundational coding and data science skills to researchers worldwide. As the co-founder of Ourshelves bookclub, I educate and encourage local youth to broaden their reading habits and remove barriers that keep marginalized community members from reaching their full potential.
